Poznań is one of the oldest and largest Polish cities, it is located on the Warta river, between Berlin and Warszawa. Owing to outstanding economic results, a developing economy and the annual Poznań International Fair, the city is often referred to as the economic capital of Poland.
As for investment attractiveness, the city only slightly cedes to the much larger Warszawa. Though the number of active foreign investors in relation to the population is relatively low, the estimated scale of foreign investments per capita in the last 5 years is very high. What may raise concerns is the relatively low rate of new investments and inflow of foreign capital to Poznań, despite such spectacular undertakings as the investments of Microsoft or GlaxoSmithKline.
