Centrally managed Operational Programmes (OPs), under which money is spent on a national level:
- OP Infrastructure and Environment - grants for transportation and environment related investments;
- OP Human Capital - grants for human resources development;
- OP Innovative Economy - grants for innovative investments and for environment or infrastructure investments;
- OP Development of Eastern Poland;
- OP European Territorial Cooperation;
- OP Rural Areas Development – grants for agriculture related investments;
- Technical Assistance.
These Operational Programmes are managed by the Ministry of Regional Development
16 Regional Operational Programmes (ROPs)
- In the period 2007-2013, in particular, small and medium enterprises will be given a new opportunity. It will be possible to apply for investment support within the framework of Regional Operational Programmes. Applications for support are going to be assessed at a regional level, at a Marshall’s Office of each of 16 Polish voivodeships.
- The beneficiaries will be chosen from among the companies of a given region. This shall have the effect of directing support to small and innovative projects. The main aim is to increase the degree of competitiveness of regions and develop local small and medium enterprises utilising high technologies.
- Each of 16 Polish voivodeships developed its own Operational Programme. The Programmes are currently negotiated with the European Commission. Every one of them includes measures aimed at supporting regional investments of entrepreneurs.
- The measures are to support projects aiming at the implementation of the newest machines, devices and technologies, including also these developed within the framework of research and development works.
The Regional Operational Programmes are managed by Marshall's Offices in each region.
